The Indonesian Rubber Association or GAPKINDO South Sumatera appealed for rubber factories to continue buying raw materials from all regions, without exception. The appeal was called for following a rubber factory in Palembang which refused supply from Prabumulih because the city had been designated a COVID-19 red zone.

However, said Alex, the rubber factory must remain vigilant and tighten supervision of vehicles entering the factory. According to him, the factory owner who refused rubber from Prabumulih admitted that he took this step because the employees began to fear. It was found out that one of the rubber factories in Palembang had previously refused rubber supply from Prabumulih City because the area had been declared a COVID-19 red zone.

From the announcement given by Bisnis source, the factory located on Jalan Pangeran Sido Ing Kenayan, Karang Anyar, Gandus District, Palembang City, South Sumatra, could not accept suppliers from Prabumulih City considering the corona red zone. The announcement also showed that steps were taken to anticipate the spread of COVID-19 and provide protection to factory employees. ***
